Nonprofit Information

The organization must serve children and/or youth and be classified as a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) by the IRS.

This is for reporting purposes only and does not affect the receipt of a scholarship

Please answer the following questions

If you are a board member, list any other nonprofit boards you have served on and the number of years for each. If you are a staff member, please list your job title and the number of years you have served the nonprofit. Optional: you may attach a resume that contains this information.

Program Requirements. The scholarship recipient must attend all classes associated with the selected program and complete the required class evaluations.  For further details about the program you are interested in, please see the program description.

Application Review and Notification. Scholarship applications will be reviewed by a peer committee. Preference will be given to nonprofits that have a relationship with HandsOn NWNC. Emphasis will be placed on the applicant’s commitment to children and/or youth, to the community, and the potential impact of the program on the applicant and his/her organization. The scholarship recipient will be announced at the annual Forsyth County Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards Breakfast.  

By submitting this application, I grant full permission to HandsOn NWNC and its representatives/organizers, to use photographs of and quotations from me without compensation for marketing, promotion, and Web content in print and/or electronically.
