Construction Volunteer
Available volunteer times: Tuesday-Thursday and Saturday, 8 am- 3 pm While on the construction site, you will work with skilled Habitat carpenters who will help you with each project. Depending on the day when constructing new homes, you may raise walls, nail shingles onto the roof, put up vinyl siding or tile a floor. You may also be part of a Neighborhood Revitalization build and work on existing homes. Some NR projects include minor exterior home repairs (i.e. siding, porch rails and steps, gutter and downspout work, etc.), exterior painting, weatherization, landscaping, and handicap accessibility projects. **All construction opportunities are posted on Volunteer Hub. Address of volunteer site, if not listed, will be emailed to you the day prior to your volunteer commitment.** If you are an individual, go to http://habitatforsyth.volunteerhub.com, create a username and password and complete the waiver. Once registered, the calendar will provide you with available dates, and you may sign-up for any available slot!
