Kitchen Volunteer

This position is for a weekly volunteer or team of volunteers (up to 4) who can commit to the following:

  • Clean and organize the guest refrigerators
    • Using list of in-house guests, compost old food from guests who have checked-out. If items are unopened, they can be transferred to the communal fridge.
    • Wash out inside of fridges
    • Wash old containers
    • Label anything that is unidentified and if not claimed in a week – discard or transfer to communal fridge
  • Clean and organize the communal fridge
    • Compost old food
    • Repackage food if needed
    • Consolidate containers if possible (salad dressings and condiments)
    • Wipe down inside of fridge
    • Wash out old containers
    • Label anything that is unidentified and write contents of fridge on dry-erase board           
  • Go through kitchen island food and compost any old or outdated food. Repackage properly if needed.
