Love Out Loud (LOL) is a collaborative partnership that works to transform our community with the love of Jesus by connecting and mobilizing its people and resources. LOL works in an increasingly broad network of religious and public organizations, to create connections to best serve our neighbors, to catalyze transformation in our community, organizations, and hearts and to align and maximize our collective efforts.
When people hear Love Out Loud, there's a few things they will think of...
1. Collaboration - Love Out Loud partners with over 200 local nonprofits and 80+ faith organizations to help volunteers plug in and organizations work together to create wider connections and fill in the gaps of service in our community. We also manage over 20 programs that range from Joy Prom (a prom for disabled individuals in our community) to LIT City (mentorship and character clubs in local inner-city schools) to programs transitioning people out of homeless and much more!
2. Pathways - Our latest program with Love Out Loud that takes people through a process of personal assessment, contextual growth, engaging with nonprofits, service, and reflection; in effort to assist community members in finding a service opportunity that meets their passions, gifts, talents, and capacity. We pair volunteers with a relational navigator to walk them through the process and strive for each person to land in a service opportunity that meets who they were created to be.
3. Christmas for the City - Our oldest program, which actually birthed what many know of as Love Out Loud today. A citywide, community Christmas party - where everyone is invited to enjoy dinner, multiple performance spaces with local artists, a kids area staffed by local nonprofits, providing resources and fun activities, and much, much more. In 2017, we celebrated our 10th Christmas for the City at the Benton Convention Center with over 10,000 guests and 1,200 volunteers!!
Though we are a faith-based organization, we work will ALL people to help blurr the lines to serving and served and assist individuals in finding their passion and living into their full potential through service.
